Jeremy Hale
Marketing Coordinator
Jeremy joined Blake Ettestad’s office in the spring of 2023 after serving as an executive assistant at a university. He's been a great addition to our team because his role aligns well with his strong marketing background and the experience he gained through professional roles and consulting projects during his undergraduate and graduate studies. In 2021, he graduated with his B.S. in Business Administration: Marketing from Corban University (Salem, OR) and his MBA from Louisiana State University–Shreveport (Shreveport, LA) in 2023.
In the office, Jeremy is the go-to resource for marketing tactics and coordination—especially when it comes to collaborating on events, advertising, and other initiatives. He's highly knowledgeable about State Farm insurance products and is happy to help with quotes for homes, condos, renters, autos, motorcycles, RVs, life policies, and more. Jeremy holds property, casualty, life, and health insurance producer licenses in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho.
Jeremy married his wife, Sarah, in 2022, and they live in Redmond with their cat, Chicken (you'll have to ask him about that name choice). In his free time, he enjoys hiking, skiing, and playing soccer with an adults' league in Bend.

Emily House
Assistant Office Manager
Emily joined Blake’s office in the spring of 2022, bringing valuable experience from her previous role as an assistant manager for a restaurant chain. She plays an essential role in keeping our office running smoothly and is your go-to resource for any questions about coverages, deductibles, or policy changes.
If you’re looking for a business insurance quote, Emily is ready to help you find the ideal State Farm plans tailored to your needs. Alongside assisting our policyholders, she works closely with our corporate office to ensure all policies are processed accurately and efficiently.
On a personal note, Emily married her husband, Garrett, in 2024. They live in Redmond with their cat, Noodles. In her free time, Emily enjoys baking and cooking—a couple of the many skills that our entire office certainly appreciates!

John Preciado
Account Manager
John is the newest member of the Blake Ettestad - State Farm team and holds a unique and very valuable role as the bilingual account manager of the office. John joined the agency in the fall of 2025 with a strong background in customer service, most recently as a medical interpreter. Whether you speak English or Spanish, John looks forward to providing you with great service. He's also pursuing his associate's degree in business at Central Oregon Community College (Bend, OR).
In addition to supporting current customers, John helps welcome new customers to State Farm and connect individuals and families across Bend, Redmond, and the greater Pacific Northwest community with coverage that fits their needs. John is licensed as a property and casualty insurance producer in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho, and can assist with quotes for home, condo, renters, auto, motorcycle, and RV insurance.
Outside of work, John lives in Terrebonne with his family and makes the long, daily commute to our Bend office. In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer, fishing, and going to the gym.

Julie Smith
Customer Service Manager
Julie is our customer service queen. With decades of experience, including her most recent role as a customer service manager at a medical clinic in Central Oregon, she brings exceptional expertise and care to every call you make to our agency. Julie joined our team in the summer of 2023 and has been a fantastic addition ever since.
A natural problem solver, Julie is your go-to resource for everything—from billing questions and policy updates to guidance on claims. As a Bend native and longtime State Farm customer herself, she truly knows the ropes and is always ready to assist. Have questions about your health insurance? Julie is the person to talk to. With a variety of supplemental health policies through State Farm, she is ready to help you find the right fit. In addition to holding a health insurance producer license, she also holds property, casualty, and life insurance producer licenses in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho.
On a personal note, Julie lives with her partner, Steve, and their two cats, Cali and Maemae. She also has a daughter who is making great strides as an MBA student at Texas Tech. In her free time, Julie enjoys reading, crafting, and tackling DIY home projects—skills we often rely on her for advice!

Amber Wark
Staff Assistant
Amber is the most experienced member of Blake Ettestad’s State Farm agency, having worked with State Farm since 1995. A Bend native, she has seen both Central Oregon and State Farm grow and change over the years. Amber earned her bachelor’s degree in business from George Fox University (Newberg, OR) in 2004 and joined Blake’s team in 2021, bringing deep institutional knowledge and a strong understanding of State Farm processes.
You may not speak with Amber often, but she plays a key behind-the-scenes role in keeping the office running smoothly. She ensures policy changes and renewals happen smoothly, and she’s quick to spot missed payments, coverage discrepancies, or underwriting issues before they become problems. Amber is licensed as an insurance producer for property, casualty, life, and health in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho, and holds a property and casualty producer license in Minnesota.
Outside of work, Amber is married to her husband, Tanner, and they live in Bend with their two adult children nearby. She is also a certified personal trainer who leads group fitness classes. In her free time, Amber plays soccer in a local adult league and enjoys spending time with family and friends and watching movies.
